Perfect Balance: Inferno ($0.99; Free)

I’m sure you’ve read Inferno’s friendlier counterpart: Harmony. If so, you’d know I’ve just called it one of the best (if NOT the best) the store has to offer. It’s simple and it NEVER gets boring. Well folks, no matter how you skin Perfect Balance, it’ll always be one shiny AppStore gem!

Presentation: Harmony VS Inferno

As the title suggests, you pretty much have a clear idea as to how the two versions vary. If it’s not quite clicking, Harmony can be compared to fairies, candies and Disneyland. On the other hand, Inferno is just about everything that can destroy those fantasies.

The two versions are WILDLY different from each other from graphics and sounds. I friggin love how distant the two are with each other yet manages to still play the same.

Lastly, Inferno is essentially a notch harder than Harmony. It makes sense though seeing this is your iPhone game from hell.

Gameplay

Nothing changes from the gameplay standpoint. I’m pretty certain there are 100 levels. Each 20 level has unique backgrounds on them. This time it’s all about scary stuff so you see bones, insects and some VERY dark colors.

For those of you not that familiar with the game, the object of the game is to stack the given objects against some preformatted blocks. The blocks above the dotted line are the ones you need to balance through different predetermined blocks and platforms.

As seen above, ttursas went all out by making a once harmonious game  all sorts of crazy, weird and difficult. Rotating saws and movable suspension bars make the game extra complicated as before. On top of that, there WILL be some block weighing heavier than regular.

These things add complicacies to the game which I ADORE! I love me some challenges and ttursas just BROUGHT it!

Lastly, Inferno’s gameplay is further strengthened by the backgrounds like the one above. The first 2o levels come with hidden black eyes while the next 20 come with insects and skeletons. The bugs are squishable by the way in case you want to torture yourself some more.

Suggestions

Make that singular.  I only have one: make it load faster either in 3G or 3GS. The game loads in regular “3G load time”. With the 3GS’ faster processor and build, I’m sure ttursas can find a way to make it load faster.

Conclusion

This review is fully glowing equal to Baseball Slugger. Both are GREAT and FANTASTIC games which you should both download immediately!

Inferno is definitely a puzzler you can NOT miss. The puzzles are a challenge but not to the point they’re unsolvable. If you really need practice, download Harmony first as it’s somewhat easier. At the end of the day, I can only “pimp” the game enough. I would HONESTLY tell you if something’s wrong with it, and unfortunately (fortunately for you), there isn’t.

Oh! Did I tell you lite versions are available for both Harmony and Inferno! You at least owe me that pretty please
