A little birdie has ruled my iPhone tweeting addiction until this Big Stone Phone’s client arrived.

Twittelator Pro ($4.99)
As a self confessed Twitter addict, I’m always needing a portable, reliable and stable Twitter account. Twittelator Pro provides all that and boasts a lot of feature which feeds off the 3GS and OS 3.0 functions… something other Twitter clients can’t.
It took me a while to admit this (and to review the app accordingly), but I gotta be honest, I’ve deleted that one twitter client I used to dearly love.
TwiPhone Client Twomparisons
On the site, we rarely practice 46L direct comparisons and naming names. In this case, I’m going to have to break the rule on why this IS the best Twitter client to date. On top of that, I’d have to prove and defend my actions as to why I deleted the other chart topping Twitter client… I refuse to name
Twittelator Pro combines *most of the features TweetDeck supports and Tweetie’s organized and very intuitive layout. Somehow, Big Stone Phone has managed to find the balance between these two other clients and create their own. Groups, DM’s, RT’s, Trends, Searches plus more are just one or two taps away with Twittelator Pro!

Lastly, I’d like to come clean and say there’s no way I can run through all of Twittelator Pro’s features on one review. I suggest you go check out the official site for the full features list. My job is to highlight the most interesting features and not become a copied output of the AppStore description.
The Commons
This app (just like Tweetie and TweetDeck) offers all of Twitter’s basic needs: Tweet, RT, and DM. It even goes further by allowing you to follow/unfollow/block people, save drafts, and view profiles.

Tapping on the username’s icon pulls up the user profile. Consequently, if more than one tweep is tagged on the tweet, the app gives you the option to view those other profiles as well. Tapping on the username itself pulls up all the actions you can carry around that tweet including but not limited to: reply, DM and RT.

Now I’m not here to offer you a tutorial for the app as the app itself and the devs official site do that for you, but lets move to the next section which should sell the app in itself.
The Unusuals
To be able to fully interpret the app’s sweetest features, I’ll them on a bulleted list:
- Notification Callouts. I know TweetDeck does this as well but the ability to double tap the header (when reading tweets) to go back all the way to the top is really cool.
- RECORD AND UPLOAD 3GS VIDEO! Now can those two other clients do that?
- Landscape typing!

- View Trends. Even beats the Twitter web client as this app offers Now, Daily and Weekly charts!
- Set the app as you want it! Set how many loads to tweet at once, themes, large fonts, “RT format”, link shortening service, media upload services, upload direct to YOUTUBE and more!

- Grouping. Collect a bunch of tweeps and put them under a subgroup to easily access their tweets.
- Tag and regular searches. Tags prefixed with “#” are automatically linked and once clicked… it’ll show the search results for that tag. Recent searches are ALSO collected!

- Favorite and save tweets.
- Last but not the least, CUSTOMIZE YOUR 5 DOCKABLE IN-APP ICONS!

Suggestion
There’s one missing KEY feature: when switching tabs, I want to go back to the same section I was at and not AUTO SCROLL TO TOP! This is rather annoying and something I’d like to see fixed.
YouTube regular logon doesn’t verify if the username/pw combination. I could’ve just entered Username: lgluglg and PW: ljhlhks and Twittelator accepts it without verification.
What about landscape tweet views? You already have landscape typing so why not go round trip?
Conclusion
Besides a few rather silly requests from me, the app is S-O-L-I-D. Yes it’s the most expensive out of the three, but you get what you pay for. Well without me telling which app I used to love (although you know already Bugs Bunny!), I can’t think of anything else to say to make you want to buy this app.
Trust me, with over 6XXX tweets, I know my Twitter clients and I know great stuff when I see them.
