When Apple first announced in-app purchases for apps, everyone was really worried about devs abusing it. However (quite the opposite) it’s been working out great.
Just today, Apple sent an email to ALL developers saying FREE APPS can now carry in-app purchases. SAY WHAAAATTT??!?!?!

Some examples of the in-app model at work? Ramp Champ sells four ramp packs for $0.99, and Tap Tap Revenge 3 selling additional music packs from artists we actually know though DLC.
One thing to note: both games are PAID apps to begin with. With this BIG change in the developers’ contracts, will we finally see proper “game demos” or will this open a big new fat can of worms?
We’re trying to gather comments from different developers regarding this news, but you can sound off below!
What do you think of this change? Would you be inclined to download games to try them AND purchase additional content for better enjoyment?
Lastly and more importantly, how do you think this is going to rock the AppStore?
