99Games is celebrating their first year in the AppStore residency with a completely new game and letting everyone download it for Free! It’s seriously more than a nice gesture as the game is completely fun!

Check out Fish Fun! This is their first game outside of board games and word games, and they’ve done a heck of a job.

Story

On a dare, a little fish leaves home to explore the treacherous ocean. He swims on, feeling proud and thinking what a great story this will be to boast about when he gets home. All is well till a giant wave grabs him in its crutches. Petrified, he looks in all possible directions trying to find his way back but he just can’t seem to figure it out!

You try and eat smaller fishes first until you’re able to eat bigger fishes. Once you eat a certain amount of fishes, you either get some powerup to help you or unlock mini games like this one:

Conclusion

The multitude of features and the ability to customize your fish and the background had us in awe. If there’s one free game out there we absolutely ask you to download, this would be it. Act quick. This one lasts only 24 hours!
