Eliminate Pro Review Quickie: Released Globally! No More Fake Canucks!

ngmoco’s highly anticipated FULL online multiplayer FPS Eliminate Pro was first released October 30 in Canada alone for some server testing. Yesterday we posted some tips on how to download the game for FREE by being a fake Canadian.

Well you don’t have to go through loops and holes to be a fake Canadian because clicking this Eliminate Pro (FREE), you’ll be able to download the game from anywhere!

Now I can talk freely about the game, I’d like to tell you that the controls, graphics and overall online implementation work perfectly for the game. There’s one thing that I’m put off though and to no surprise… in-app purchasing.

How It Works?

The game does a great job of presenting the controls to you. I highly recommend playing through the accessible practice room where you can get yourself familiarize with the game. Basically you get a directional left dpad while eyesight can be changed by dragging anywhere on the screen. Firing can be set to autofire or a tap and hold on the screen.

Online Play

Online play is the game’s biggest asset so let’s move on to that. When you first fire the game, you’re given a certain amount of energy. This energy is said to last you 3-4 online games to which then you’ll have to wait 3-4 hours or so to replenish your energy. Every online kill gets you credits to which you can use to upgrade your armor and weapons.

Offline Play

It’s good to note that you CAN still play the game offline while you’re online energy is charging overtime. The catch is that you’ll NOT earn credits for upgrades.

The Problem: In-App Purchasing

In-app purchasing is the game’s biggest letdown. Instead of paying premium prices to permanently make your energy charging faster, you’ll only get a certain number of energy to be used and once depleted, you’d have to buy again.

I don’t know about you but to be point blank, Eliminate Pro becomes a glorified MMO machine like Mobster or Mafia Wars. You buy items based on points instead of a monthly subscription thing which frankly would work best for Eliminate Pro.

Hopefully there’ll be some adjustments down the line regarding the upgrades. Regardless of the side of the boat you’re on, Eliminate Pro remains to be one of the best FPS games available right now.

the energy is too expensive to buy constantly! I'd buy a lot, if it was cheaper

you know, I thought it would be a bad system, but overall I'm really happy with it. I've not spent a penny on Eliminate, and am level 21 with some pretty sweet armour and guns. I win lots of battles and have tons of fun.
I think it's a really ood system because if it were a paid game i probably wouldn't have bought it at all, and I sure don't need another monthly bill!

I really surprised that I got so into this game for awhile. I'm not a FPS type of gamer, but it was free and there was so much hype, so why not give it a try, right? Well I totally got sucked in and actually had a couple first place rounds. Never really branched out from the rifle, just kept upgrading. I'll still play from time to time, but there are only so many hours in a day and way too many good apps. :)

    I love this game ;)
I honestly thing the charge battery system is good, because it limits your addiction. Otherwise, I'd be playing for hours straight.

really wish that power cells were cheaper. there would be a lot more players if you could get 30 games out of a dollar. A lot more players… otherwise, great game!
