We’ve reviewed Team17′s WORMS for the iPhone a couple of months ago and found it a little sluggish and unstable. With a couple few updates, we found the game to be so much better.

However, it seems like what we’re really looking for is a meatier and faster 3GS version. But first, WORMS Express ($0.99) has been released.

The new express game strips off all the multiplayer options to provide quick plays for single players. What’s added however are new single player challenges!

And now… on to WORMS iPhone 3GS news…

WORMS 3GS?

Why yes! An upcoming update to the original game will cater to 3GS users only (possible 2G Touch 32GB models and 3rd Gen Touches as well). This includes but not limited to: improved graphics and animation comparable to XBLA and PSN versions and BlueTooth player.

Of course, let’s not forget this new version comes with Plus+ support! YAY!

It’s a little unclear at this point whether this would be a free update or a paid one (through in app purchase). Don’t worry though, we’ll buy it anyway once it’s released to really see if it’s worth anything on our 3G.
