I usually stay away from ridonkulous apps because we trust our friends over at KRAPPS will take care of that for you, but this one, I just couldn’t take it.
This app promises to transform your iPhone into a weighing scale! OMGWTFBBQ!!! MY iPHONE CAN WEIGH SMALL AMOUNTS OF MATERIALS! WEEEE! No idiot!

Take a look at the US Top Paid apps around Top 20 (at the time of this writing) you’ll see the 1.5 star rated Finger Scale. I have two questions: what do you need to weigh and why buy a very low rated app? To get robbed yourself? Gheez. Congratulations!
What Do You Need To Weigh?
The instructions on how to work the app are a little complicated. Than in itself should put someone off already. Besides that, why the hell would someone need to use their iPhone to weigh something? What’s next? Pregnancy test device where you actually piss on your device?
A ClusterFOOK of People Wanting To Get Robbed Themselves
Regardless if this app works or not, the hundreds of 1.5 ratings alone should stop you from buying this app. If you still buy it after that and it seems like a lot of you are, WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM? People are saying it doesn’t work, why buy it? Curiosity? Umm no.
Go Ahead. Buy It!
Will someone please explain what the fascination is about this app? Chances of this thing working is slim to zero but people still clamor for it.
I think I found the answer Twilight… tweens.

I have given up on trying to understand the idiocy of iPhone/iPod touch users. I get the feeling that they are like the folks that purchase from the SPAMmers they get emails from.
We know they are out there, just look at developers like Brighthouse Labs for example. Thousands of apps developed and yet, they still pump more out weekly. They have to be getting sales, or they wouldn’t keep pumping out the crap that they do pump out.
Maybe it’s the dollar mentality… Yet with all the complaints over Tweetie 2.0 costing $2.99 instead of being a free update, you would think that iPhone/iPod touch users were more thrifty.
I don’t have any answers, but it really makes me want to write the next great “KRAPP” app. There is certainly plenty of room in the AppStore for them.

It's like when that mirror app was number 1 of the free apps……but………WORSE!!!!! :O
Yo James, great idea. Imma make a pregnancy test app and make loads of money off of it like these guys are doing.
I think it's a little overbearing of you to claim no one needs to weigh anything, or that the concept of an iphone weighing things is stupid or useless.
Not saying anything good or bad about this app, but I don't think you should condemn weight related apps in general.
Tbh, if you need to weigh things you probably do have some scales. Plus, i'm sure most people are sensible enough to not put anything heavy onto their expensive iPod or iPhone. Therefore meaning that a scale app could only be useful for VERY small amounts of things and therefore quite useless.
not to be super obvious, but - if this app does in fact work for weighing small amounts of things, it could be a great app for those involved with drug culture. You could keep yourself from getting ripped off, or measure out the right amount of whatever your vice is. i think its a win if it works. and you do drugs.
Let's say I was a drug dealer, would I be weighing drugs half an ounce with my iPhone? Chances are drug transactions happen in large scale… OUNCES OF OUNCES, pounds of pounds. Also, what's the max weight you can weigh? If I was a druggie, I'd know off the bat if the product weighs less than I should have gotten.
Point being, even for what the app is targeted to, it's completely stupid and useless.
Yo I smoke weed this app would be perfect for weighing small amounts
Of marijuana or meth or whatever
I'm trying to find the cracked ipa of
This if anyone can find the cracked ipa
Of this plz email me at tjwebb86@gmail.com
Tim have you ever thought that putting your entire real name and email address on a post that says you like to smoke weed and do meth might not be a good idea? Just a thought….
I really want this app if it works
I'm thinking about getting a iTunes
Gift card just to try it out I wish I could just buy a 99 cent iTunes card I'm tryna find the cracked ipa of it cuz I wanna see if it works for my self I can't find it on appulous
If anyone can help me find it I would appresiate it I think it's kinda cool if it works it's cheaper than buyin a digi scale if anyone can help me get the ipa my email is tjwebb86@gmail.com
Another use for this app would be for sellers who ship small items. I ship small parts, weighing between 1 and 10 ounces all the time. I always have my iPhone with me and I'm lazy so it'd be nice not to have to go upstairs (where my scale is) to weigh an item before packaging it.
The idea isn't to stand on it and weigh yourself or put anything more than a pound on it but it's perfect for measuring small shippable items, jewelry, and well…drugs (for users, not dealers), as someone pointed out already. If the app doesn't actually work well then yeah, it's useless, but it's certainly not a bad concept.
My thoughts exactly. HOWEVER if the app is rated a little better and that people claim it's working fine, that's tolerable. Sadly that isn't the case which makes purchasing this app a total waste.
If you can't even use it for novelty (measuring one grain of sugar), what's the point? Use your $0.99 to a game or something. Even one for konami over a finger scale: http://theappera.com/2009/11/16/konami-metal-gear...
Lets say I was a drug purchaser, I would probably be weighing drugs in 1/8th ounce or in grams. I don't know much about the subject, but i would say MOST transactions happen on the small scale. Large scale distribution would occur between dealers who would probably have scales that are useful for that sort of thing. The average joe, however, probably only would buy in small amounts and it would be unnecessary to buy an expensive scale. A .99$ one, however, would be badass (if it actually WORKED, that is)
