So if I told you that soon you won’t need game discs, or a PS3, or console? Just a little small box plugged into the TV OR a plug-in to your favorite browser, and you could be playing games at MAXIMUM SETTINGS (looking better than PS3) anywhere you want. Would you say I’m crazy?
OK hang on I forgot to mention. What if you could be playing Crysis Wars, or MW2 on your iPhone. Oh ya now I’ve gone nuts (I blame James
). But no not really. This is happening quite soon thanks to OnLive:
OnLive is just what I described above. Instead of buying a game, and running it on your system, you buy it and it runs / stays on the OnLive servers. Using this, the graphics of the game will be AMAZING, even if you’re on a netbook.
So where does iPhone come in? Well maybe you should watch it yourself (it’s really interesting, I’d watch it all but if you just wanna see iPhone bit skip to 48:00).
More Info
OK so I hate to pop any bubbles here, but it’s not exactly all that. Yes you can see your friends playing, and yes you can sorta play. But notice even the guy who’s been around since beta 1 said the controls from iPhone….well suck. Still, Crysis is a game with lots of different controls. I’d love to see something like NFS that has simpler controls and see if they work any better on iPhone..
So what now? Now we wait. You can’t really tell much from that video, but it does look impressive. If the controls issue is fixed, I’ll be one happy guy. Can I haz Assassin’s Creed on iPhone?
