Facebook iPhone App (Download FREE) isn’t a four rated app for nothing. Tonight, they unleashed yet another update that brings two pretty useful features: push notifications for just about anything AND contact syncing:

Push Notifications is something that has been promised since the new iPhone OS feature was announced last year. Today, Facebook fulfills their promise and that’s just groovy!
How To Facebook Push Notification:
- When you first open the app after update, the normal push notification pop up should well, pop up.
- Click OK
- If you want to customize push settings, exit app.
- Go to Settings icon
- At the very bottom of the page, you should see “Facebook”, tap it
- From there you can customize whether you want to get notified when new messages arrive only etc etc

How To Facebook Contact Sync:
- Open the app
- Tap on the friends icon
- Click Sync
What does syncing do? Well, sync the information from Facebook to and from your existing iPhone contacts. This includes links, phone numbers and even photos which you can enable/disable.
Overall, this is a nice update. All I’m waiting for now are: Facebook videos support, remove friend and Farmville. No wait, scratch the last because that will never happen… I think
