So I know you guys have been missing Blacksmith Games’ AppVent Calendar promotion that concluded a couple days before Christmas last year, now they’re back together with ICS Mobile (Navy Patrol Coastal Defense), Tapjoy AND the OpenFeint team nonetheless to bring you FreeAppADay.com!

“FreeAppsDay.com provides an unparalleled promotional platform for developers since their application icons will remain available to our daily visitors for up to a full month.
Based on the Appcentcalendar.com experience which will be back to celebrate Easter on April 1st, hundreds of thousands of iPhone application enthusiasts are scheduled to return each and every day to discover a new free app as well as scan through previously free paid apps.”
I think this is a WIN-WIN situation for everyone here! Free games get spotlighted and I’m assuming would yield the same success AppVent Calendar did for both the devs running the site and the devs running promos.
What’s cool about the site besides it being ON 365 days a year is the fact that you can set up alerts to which genres of games you want to be auto alerted for.
Head on over there and check it out for yourself. I’m stoked!

OMFG YAY
and wow, navy patrol really want their game to sell, this is the 3rd time in one month!
me thinks that too many drops to "free" will eventually result in zero actual purchases. If people don't get NPCD this time, they will just wait for the next freebie window. And if ICS is not careful, the pattern will also impact sales of their future releases.
WOW I'M STOKED TOO!!
i loved the appvent calendar!
hey, Navy Patrol Zero will remain Free indefinitely….the difference between the free and the zero version it that in the paid once you get all the content updates the new achievements that were actually released today…for Free!!! with the zero you need to download other free game from within the app to unlock the game…that's it…Now if you really want us to put a price on a game Modern Pirates: D.S.R will be a high production budget and it is scheduled to sale between $6.99-$9.99….we can't to free stuff al the time
If NPCD is any indicator, Modern Pirates will be great! I wish you the best! Sometimes the economics of the app store is a mystery, but you have to eat.
Yeah, exactly, I missed it that last 2 times but I just thought 'meh, it'll be free again soon', quite stupid of them really
Stupid may be harsh. I'd say eager. Seems like in the app store, if you don't get noticed right away there is a good chance you'll disappear into the abyss.
