Assassin’s Creed 2 iPhone already made a huge splash earlier this year. Soon after that, Assassin’s Creed 2 Multiplayer has been announced. The game just got released and it comes as a surprise that it is FREE!

The game is obviously its whole separate entity from the sidescrolling game. AC2 Multiplayer features a top down view mechanic as well as online connectivity (obviously) through WiFi only at this time.

The game features three maps to play with up to 6 powerups for your characters. AC2 Multiplayer has achievements and in game leaderboards to see how you stack up against the world.

Instead of going the freemium route, Ubisoft is hoping a lot of people will download the game for FREE for its first 48 hours to build up a solid userbase. I’m not really sure why someone wouldn’t download it, but if you do have reasons, let me know below.
