iBlast Moki iPad: It’s Coming And It’ll Be Way Blast-ier!

With the iPad launch about a week or so away, the news for its upcoming game’s slate (see what I did there?) is starting to hit the streams. First up, iPhone puzzle darling iBlast Moki iPad:

This was a pretty interesting and fun title for the iPhone. The concept: get all the moki’s to the exit by blasting them. Physics + blasts = fun for sure. But I’m looking forward to the iPad version because it’ll be bigger, I won’t have to zoom in / out and move around as much.

According to the developer all the graphics have been redone in high resolution. Here’s a full rundown of features from the developers:

  • Entirely new graphics. All graphics have been redone in high resolution to get crisp and highly detailed graphics on the iPad.
  • Wider vision of each level to take advantage of the wide 9.7 inch screen.
  • This will be especially useful in the built-in level editor.
  • All menus have been redesigned and optimized for a better player experience.
  • New version of Plus+ designed for the iPad.

Hmmm. Surprisingly, among the features set, Plus+ iPad got me interested the most. We’ll see how this goes down, and we’re very much looking forward to it.

You know this was one of my favorites on the iPhone. It looks like it'll be bumped up a few notches on the iPad. Agree with your point about not having to zoom in and out, especially on the large puzzles.

I wonder though how many who have already played through the iPhone version will replay it on iPad. This applies to any "puzzle-type" games. Once you've solved the puzzle, is there really a draw to do it again, no matter how pretty it looks?

At any rate, I wish Godzilab success in spreading the Moki love :)

As a side note: I look forward to the day when spellcheck doesn't flag "iPad" as a misspelling. O_o
