iPod Touch 4 To Support FaceTime, Has Front Facing Camera?

Now that we’re all only awaiting for the White iPhone 4, most of the iPhone 4 launch news are slowly subsiding. With about two months away from September, let’s begin the iPod Touch 4 rumors starting with FaceTime and a camera?

MacRumors posted the image above from one of the Chinese manufacturers’ leaks. If you don’t quite see what’s new, see the whole right above the screen? Yep, it’s a front facing camera.

If the new iPod Touch will indeed ship with a camera, you can bet that’s so it can work with the iPhone 4′s FaceTime features. Also please note that iPod Touch 4 is the running name we’ll be using to describe the upcoming iPod Touch refresh. It makes sense judging from iPhone 4.

September is usually the month when Apple announces new iPod Touch’s. A couple weeks later that is when they become available. Are you happy with this news? Will you hold off buying an iPhone 4 until the new gen Touch’s are announced?

Considering the iPod Touch has always been the iPhone without the phone, I wouldn’t be surprised if everything was there. I’m guessing they’re going to make Wi-Fi and 3G ones just like the iPad too and maybe that will allow the use of Skype calling.
