Remember our very first Audiosurf iPhone post which sent the world wide web into a frenzy? Last week, Engadget posted that Apple finally fully opened the iTunes library access for DJ apps to do “direct damage”. We emailed Dylan once again to which he replied:

Sweet!  I’m looking into it now.  Fingers crossed…

The prognosis this times around looks really better than the first time around since there are now DJ apps updated with direct access to your music files. Please note that previously, Apple only allowed developers to the song info including track names and artists.

Audiosurf Tilt was released for Zune HD’s (BLECH!) since Dylan and his team didn’t have any problems accessing songs and opening it. Audiosurf is a rhythm racer in which you use beats to keep the song playing. Tapulous did a really good job with Riddim Ribbon to create the Audiosurf look and feel:

As always however, the original is always the best. We’ll follow up with Dylan in a couple more days once he’s rip opened the new iOS4 APIs. Just like he said, fingers crossed! Guess what Dylan? I’m crossing my toes as well!
