Spider: Bryce Manor for iPhone was an amazing game, everyone went crazy for it, and we did too.
Spider: Bryce Manor HD ($4.99)
It took advantage of the iPhone touch screen, had gorgeous visuals, a great soundtrack, and offered some of the most original game play to grace the iPhone in quite some time, even now. This HD version could only make things that much better. So what’s new?
Recap
The HD version is more than just HD. If there’s an app that could benefit from a larger screen, it’s Spider. Now you have more viewing space to see what’s ahead of you, you can practically see the whole level at once. You also have more space to control the spider, so no more fat finger mistakes. The levels all look crystal clear, it truly is HD.
Spider: Bryce Manor HD brings all the modes from the iPhone version, as well as adding a two-player multiplayer mode, cause let’s face it, 16 legs is better than 8. It also includes all the Director’s Cut content that was added to the iPhone version later on after release in an update. Overall, Spider for iPhone is STILL a great title, and the iPad one is a MUST HAVE for every iPad owner out there.
What’s New
It’s not exactly what’s new, it’s what’s been improved thanks to the iPad larger screen. The iPad version obviously has upgraded HD graphics for the larger screen, and benefits largely from the large screen, both for controls and for viewing more of the level. Also added to the iPad version is a two-player “sidekicks” game mode where two spiders are on screen, and each spider is controlled by the finger nearest to it. You can either help each other out, or race to see who can eat the most bugs.
Conclusion
Buy it NOW. I cannot stress this enough. I loved the iPhone version and the iPad version is only better. This truly is a must have for all iPad owners.
