There’s only a handful of people outside of official Apple executives the Mac community listens to and respects. One of those people is John Gruber and he’s revealing some wonderful iPod Touch 4 news, retina display and TWO cameras:
That’s almost twice as much as a good iPod Touch, and if you wait a few weeks to buy the Touch, you’ll get one with a Retina Display and dual cameras. If Dell can’t make an iPod Touch competitor, who can?
The comment he made above is in response to the new Dell Streak mini tablet which launches soon on AT&T. FaceTime for Touch is pretty much confirmed, however the rear facing camera is something new.
Apple demos their new line of iPods around September, but some analysts go as far as saying it may come 2 weeks earlier this year.
Retina display and two cameras sound VERY great and a major update for the iPod Touch. Obviously the iPhone 4 is a great iPod Touch if you take the phone part out (and antennagate). Apple is possibly looking into redeeming people’s faiths in the company, and this might be exactly the way to do it.
