In my opinion, i think that the itouch 4 will be a very big hit as well as the iphone 4 maybe even bigger than the ipad. Having the 3G option will lead to a huge leap. Lacking of a built-in mic will be a bit dissapointing to alot of apple fans. Why should at&t be mad of that idea? Yes the iphone is a Big success but it shouldn’t be a flaw againts it.

Only apple is to decide whether or not to add a feature to its own devices.

They already have an iPod touch 4g with 3G acess it’s called the iPhone 4. That feature would definitely cut into iphone sales and I highly doubt we will see that.

I think there are a lot of people expecting an iPod Touch capable of mobile internet, while for them retina display, cameras etc are merely cosmetics. I think that would be a major step ahead and a very strong argument for upgrading. And why at all would I want to telephone with my iPod? Each to his own.

Why would there not be a mic with the rumors of a front facing camera for Face Time? I don’t think that 3G will be a part of the package. I would rather see the cameras, mic, and a GPS. If I want 3G access, I’ll buy an iPhone. I just don’t want to go to that particular excess. I love my iPod Touch and it is part of my daily gear. I seriously use it as much as I use my Mac and more than I use my netbook. I do think that some folks are going to be disappointed come Wednesday morning though. If the Ipod Touch has a 120gb hardrive, facetime, 3g, a rear camera and a mic I will buy it 100%. People dont think of people that use their ipod to the limit. 90% OF people i Know will love the ipod touch with 3g. A gps would be a good idea but if it had 3g you can use maps normaly with directions and search everywhere. I hate people who say that there is no difference between a Iphone.
