Any decent 90s computer gamer should at least know about Cyan World’s puzzle adventure game Myst
. It’s been available on the iPhone for sometime now and is now on sale for $1.99. Deadline reported last week that Myst Movie is in the works.

The original Myst sights and sounds have been meticulously re-assembled for a remarkable experience on the iPhone and iPod touch. Everything that you remember from the original Myst in a format where a simple touch or swipe moves you through the world. Welcome back to Myst… wherever you are.
“MYST, the all-time top selling computer adventure game franchise, has been optioned for live action film treatment. Producers Hunt Lowry and Mark Johnson have partnered with Adrian Vanderbosch and Isaac Testerman of Mysteria Film Group. Mysteria got the rights from game developers Cyan Worlds.”
The main premise of this budding movie franchise is that of a human entering the Myst world and then eventually collapsing its civilization. The people behind this movie are the same ones from The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, so you know the project is in great hands.
Already the premise sounds more promising than the rumored Angry Birds Movie. If both films get the greenlight, which iPhone game do YOU think gets made into a movie next?
