We previously told you that the band Gorillaz have recorded a full album using iPad and many of its apps. That album, The Fall, has finally been released. Check out the lead single and video Phoner To Arizona:
Per Engadget, here are the apps they used for the making of this album: “Speak It! / SoundyThingie / Mugician / Solo Synth / Synth / Funk Box / Gliss / AmpliTube / Xenon / iElectribe / BS-16i / M3000 HD / Cleartune / iOrgel HD / Olsynth / StudioMiniXI / BassLine / Harmonizer / Dub Siren Pro / Moog Filatron.”
What’s trippier than the band itself? Their album created using a freaking 10 inch tablet device, that’s what! The album is completely FREE for Gorillaz Subdivision members. Membership however isn’t free.
“Membership to the fanclub is priced at £29.99 or US$45, and includes various benefits like a free litho print, free downloads like this album, discounts from the band’s store, etc.” says MacObserver.
Are you a fan of the Gorillaz? Do you like what they’ve created here? Regardless, it’s pretty impressive to get studio backing for something as wild and unique as this project.
