At last, these are the final 9 games to complete our Best iOS Games of 2010. Chances are we’ve already mentioned your favorite game/s, but for those who still waiting, wait no more. Casual gaming has been great again this year, and so did these 9 games:
Pix’n Love Rush
, the iPhone is made for casual games and this game proves just that. It uses beautiful graphics to woo people in, but really, Pix’n Love Rush’s gameplay is so addicting regardless of how it looks.
Plunderland
, it’s a shame we never really found time to review this game because it’s so good. I call it Angry Birds on a boat (lol) since it uses trajectories to attack your enemies. It’s one of the most unique games you’ll ever come across with and I urge you to get it.
Robot Unicorn Attack
, the game was already a smash hit as a Flash version. Immediately upon release on the iPhone it scaled up the charts like there was no tomorrow. Just how successful is this game? Well it spawned TWO sequels in one year, that’s how!
Sir Lovalot
, just when you think you’ve seen every jumping game there is, here comes Sir Lovalot to prove you wrong. The theme is pretty sweet, but it’s really the unique circular climb that makes this game work for us.
Solipskier
, in this game, you control your own destiny. You alter the peaks and lows of the mountain to control your skiers’ speed. Not since Canabalt
have I seen a game this polished and uniquely designed. Surprisingly, this may be even better than Canabalt.
The Hero
, The Hero is a combination of great controls, graphics and a delightful and ridiculously funny storyline. This game is in a totally whole new class for Chillingo delivered by Traplight Games.
Tilt to Live
, Doodle Jump is the last game to roll tilt controls and addiction onto one. With One Man Left’s first foray into the iPhone, I can’t help myself to use the word tilt but I’m going for “crack” instead of addiction this time. It’s that good!
Veggie Samurai
, Fruit Ninja really opened up an undiscovered casual gaming market with its unique controls and gameplay. Veggie Samurai builds off of that concept and makes it better with Fruit Ninja’s key missing feature: dicing!
Zen Bound 2
, what’s new? How much more 3D-rific is it? Oh I’ll save you the “horror” and just say Zen Bound 2 straight up EXPLOITS the iOS of its full graphics and animation capacities. If you think the original was epic, this is even better!
For reference, here’s our Top 50 iPhone Games 2009. Note that this list is in alphabetical order, final rankings won’t be available until the site’s second year anniversary on January 18, 2011.
