For those of us who have ever beta tested an app for iOS before, we know how much of a hassle it is to get those things installed. Download it, drag to iTunes, replace previous, sync, etc.
FlightApp, which has been in beta for a while, aims to fix that, with a simple, over-the-air, beta install from the device itself.
Getting set-up is easy. Simply go over to the site, register, and it’ll send you a link to your email. Open that on your device and it’ll register your UDID, and install a provisioning profile, as well as a web clip, all in one step.
Once you do that, you’re done. Simply open the web clip and it’ll check your dashboard for any betas available for your UDID. You’ll also receive an email when a beta is available.
I think this is THE way to go for beta testing, and sure hope all iOS devs start using this. After all, it is completely FREE, there’s no downside.
