iPhone 5 Release Date Clues: Two iPhones Being Worked On For Fall!

Ok here we go! It was just pure speculation up to this point when iPhone 5 will really release. First it was supposed to come this Summer as always, then it was moved to September. iDB reports that the latter is true:

“Apple is reportedly building two iPhone 5 models for a scheduled fall release. According to an employee of an Apple part supplier, there is reason to believe that the iPhone 5 will actually be two devices: a ‘standard’ and ‘pro’ model.”

This rumor makes sense in that Apple needs to release two versions to make up for the few months of delay.

While the rest of the ordered components are just the standard versions, Apple is also ordering better quality components of the same function. Our source says that both types of components wouldn’t go in one device together, which makes him believe Apple is up to something with a ‘pro’ version.

Could the two models we’ll see include one or both of these: iPhone 5 edge-to-edge or iPhone 5 with smaller screen we discussed here previously? What do you think?

    Seems like my predictions of a two-model system are being confirmed. I reckon that while both devices would keep same screen size etc, a cheaper model will be available in addition to the fully-fledged model. Perhaps this will be the end of the iPod touch as we know it currently

      Yeah, i also think that that the iTouch will be replaced by the cheaper version of the iPhone 5. I currently only have an iTouch and i hate it, to also carry my cellphone in my other pocket. I think alot of people have this issue.

      I agree as well it could spell the end of the iPod Touch. But what it would means for the rest of the iPod family like the classic?

    Knowing Apple, they always caught people by surprise. It doesn’t matter to them if they had just released their white iPhone 4 version last week. No one can stop them if they want to release the 5th generation iPhone in June. This is the downside of being an Apple fan. But considering that iPhone 5 will be released anytime soon this year, let’s just be a little more patient. Who wouldn’t want a dual-core device for their gaming needs?

    IT bring too much attention, i don’t think that it was a good idea to release iphone 5 within this year because iphone 4 is popular it’s just up to dated with the white one

      Orange just phone me and said that the 5 won’t be out ’til the end of the year at earliest and will cost £70 per month for a free set. That is probably hype to try to get me to buy the White 4…
