Anyone could speculate, plugin a couple of numbers and offer “educated” guesses as to when Apple will release its most sought after iPhone 5. CNET is a pretty reliable source though, and they’re suggesting the magic date happens to be September 7!
“We’ve charted the dates, earwigged the rumours and consulted our iPod Ouija board. After 16 hours of number-crunching on the CNET UK supercomputer, we have determined the most likely release date for the iPhone 5 — 7 September 2011.”
They further elaborate on how they got to this conclusion, but the most important part is believing Apple will simply be swapping and/or coinciding iPhone 5 release date with the new iPod Touch release date.
New generation iPod Touch usually releases around September. iPhones usually release on the Summer as it did in previous years. Apple knows they can’t push the iPod Touch release date since iPhone 5 is already delayed.
What do you think? Does September 7 sound good to you?
