Reckless Getaway Review: Action Packed Like Fast Five With Vin Diesel And Paul Walker

Reckless Getaway is a fun and action packed game that makes robbing a bank and being a criminal a little more exciting.

Reckless Getaway (Universal: $2.99)

The objective of the game is to escape with all the money you stole and weave in and out of traffic without getting caught by the police and other obstacles. While doing this you must also collect coins throughout the chase.

Presentation

The game is designed using streets, highways, and other roads as the backdrop for our high-speed chase. The graphics in this game are well done and very detailed. A lot of colors are used which makes this game very interactive because it makes everything look more realistic.

The music used is quick and fast as if you feel like you’re going to get caught, which sets the mood perfectly for a game like this. There are sound effects used which make the game a lot more lifelike. There are options to turn off the music/effects if you want, but it’s definitely more fun leaving them on.

Controls

The controls for this game are easy to use, and there are also two different control options. You can either tilt your device to steer the car around traffic, or you can tap the right and left buttons on the screen to maneuver yourself. Both these options have sensitivity levels which can be altered to your preference.

Gameplay

This game is pretty self explanatory. You are a bank robber who just escaped with money and you are trying to avoid the cops while weaving in and out of the busy traffic. You want to dodge other vehicles and jump over other cars to earn bonus points, while wrecking your car will lose stars, which adds up and must be collected unlock other chapters.

While maneuvering your way through the streets/roads, you want to collect coins to earn points through each level. You can also collect boosts and power-ups. As of now there are 16 levels, which need a certain amount of stars to be unlocked.

This game has leaderboards on GameCenter, so you can compete against your friends and see how they’re doing.

Conclusion

Overall, I thought this was a fun game. Getting to play the bad guy is always fun and weaving in and out of traffic to escape the police makes it even more exciting. The music and sound effects makes the game more realistic and interactive.

I would recommend this game to anyone who wants to play a bad guy or anyone who loves a good action-packed police chase game. You’re definitely in for a fun time.
