iPhone 5 Release Date This October Coming To T-Mobile USA Too?

It’s going to be September this week, and of course iPhone 5 rumors will officially go bonkers. With talks that there most likely will be a Sprint iPhone this October, T-Mobile will be the lone major network that won’t have it. Well T-Mobile iPhone rumors are also popping up now.

Macrumors (via MacTrast) says: “Following our report yesterday that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5 will be arriving on the Sprint network, a contact within T-Mobile who claims to have been briefed on the matter has informed us that, in addition to arriving on Sprint at launch, the iPhone 5 will arrive on T-Mobile’s network at launch as well. ”

” The informant, who requested to remain anonymous, went on to claim that the iPhone 5 would also operate at 3G speeds on T-Mobile US network. Current unlocked iPhone 4 units can only operate at at 2G “edge” speeds on T-Mobile’s network, and lack certain network-dependent features, such as Visual Voicemail.”

T-Mobile is the another major GSM provider in the US with the other being AT&T. They also have a 4G network, but it’s looking like iPhone 5 will NOT support LTE. T-Mobile in other countries have long had Apple’s iPhone, but if the rumors are true, iPhone 5 will be the first ever and hopefully not last for T-Mobile USA.

And of course, let’s not forget that AT&T may still acquire T-Mobile after all. If that’s the case, then T-Mobile will get the iPhone 5 by default when and if ever the deal finalizes.
