We’ve been saying it over and over on this site, but The New York Times has joined us in saying iPhone 5‘s announcement should happen really soon (and it’s release date soon after). They credit their source to one loose mouthed “Apple employee”:

“We’re just weeks away from the announcement of the new Apple iPhone 5, according to an Apple employee who asked not to be named because he was not allowed to speak publicly for the company.”

The iPhone 5 has been rumored to be getting a complete redesign, while the iPhone 4S (N94) is believed to use the same design as the iPhone 4. This is all just rumors at this point however, obviously we’ll have to wait until Apple announces the new devices to see what’s true and what’s not.

And based on this report, it looks like we won’t have to wait that long!
