iPad 3 Rumors & Release Date News: iPad 2 Orders Scaled Back As iPad 3 Production Begins

While DigiTimes might not be the source with the cleanest track record, it’s still very exciting to hear some rumors with sources saying iPad 3 production is about to begin very soon. This is evidence by Apple cutting back on iPad 2 orders.

Via Macrumors: “Apple has pulled back on its fourth-quarter orders for iPad 2 display panels, although the reduction appears to be part of an overall strategy to prepare for the launch of the iPad 3 early next year rather than a shortfall in customer demand.”

iPad 3 rumors are really starting to heat up. Just a couple of days ago, iPad mini rumors with a 7.35″ screen started popping up in the web again:

A meeting between Apple and LG Display is reportedly due to take place in the next few days and one of the topics of conversation will be Apple’s plans to introduce a 7.35in tablet.

More from DigiTimes: “While Apple is adjusting panel inventory for iPad 2, Samsung and Sharp already began shipping panels for the next-generation iPads to Apple in October, and Taiwan-based touch panel makers TPK Holding and Wintek will begin to ship touch panels for the new iPads to the supply chain in November-December, the sources noted.”
Standby for more iPad 3 rumors. I could feel as the holidays approach, these rumors (outrageous or not) will start firing on all cylinders.
