Hey good news! Nearly a year after Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 , Episode 2 has finally been announced! I know I know, it’s been a while, but hey not worse than Duke Nukem Forever, amirite? No… ok fine, I’ll go away now.

I’ll just leave Sega Digital Brand Manager Ken Balough do the talking. The reveal trailer is also in the video above, so check it out.

We’re not quite sure what to think about the engine change, since the original one worked out just fine, and it’s weird to do something like that in between episodes of a game, but hey, we’ll take it! Maybe we’ll see some retina love in this one as well.

Episode 2 will also have Tails and Metal Sonic will be in there as the new “old” villain. We’ll keep you posted on release info.
