The Price Is Right Decades is the same great gameshow with a twist; Instead of guessing modern prices, have to guess the non-adjusted pricing of randomly selected items from a year in past decades!

Presentation

If you’ve ever watched the show on TV, you will feel right at home with The Price Is Right Decades(minus Bob Barker or Drew Carey). While this game doesn’t offer the best quality graphics, the sounds and overall Price is Right experience is great. You’ll participate in contestant’s row, play games including plinko, spinning the big wheel, and even the Showcase Showdown!

Gameplay

What this game lacks in graphics, it makes up for with fun mini games. The mini-games are quite simple, mostly guessing the price of an item from a certain ‘decade’ mixed in with a short interactive game(dice rolling, golf, dropping chips). Plinko was my favorite game on the show, and it’s a blast to play on iOS.

Also, spinning the big wheel is just as fun as it looks! Fans of the show will have fun, but if you’ve never seen the show it may be a bit harder to get into the game.

Controls

Controls aren’t very important for a title like this, since you can play at your own pace. However, all the touch screen controls were responsive and easy to use. You also have control of you player avatar and have the ability to choose hairstyles, clothing, accessories and more. Though, they didn’t have very many good ones, so I used a cute blonde ^__^

Suggestions

It would be nice to be able to pick what year you’re playing in. Also, I would like to guess on current prices as well.

Conclusion

The bottom line is if you like the game show, chances are you’re going to have a lot of fun with The Price Is Right Decades. You may or may not like the fact that you are guessing the prices in other ‘decades’ but it is interesting to see how much prices have inflated. There is no Bob Barker, and the graphics aren’t the best, but at $0.99 there is still fun to be had. 7/10
