Mass Effect 3 iPhone? Nope, But Infiltrator and Datapad Both Coming Soon

At a recent EA event, the publisher handed out a pamphlet announcing Mass Effect Infiltrator for both iPhone/iPad. Infiltrator  will be a third-person shooter that will somehow tie into Mass Effect 3‘s Galaxy At War.

Interestingly, the app is being developed by Dead Space iOS devs Iron Monkey Studios. Dead Space iOS was great, so I have high hopes for Infiltrator as well.

“Inspired by the deep and immersive Mass Effect 3 universe, in Infiltrator players will help to free prisoners from a hostile Cerberus base and will receive rewards for collecting evidence of Cerberus’ crimes along the way. Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player’s Galactic Readiness rating directly through the Galaxy at War system in Mass Effect 3.”

If that wasn’t enough, EA also announced a companion iPad app that works with the console/PC game called Mass Effect Datapad; but reveled no other information about it.
