When Tether released the iTether iOS app, Apple originally approved and then removed it from the App Store. It seems that Tether now has a solution that is HTML5 based and doesn’t require the now removed app.
It seems that although Apple has taken down the app from the app strore, Tether has figured out a solution for those interested in the service.
Tether’s new version for the iPhone is purely based on HTML5 and creates a completely wireless connection over AdHoc. This circumvents the need of buying the application directly from Apple’s App Store and allows any iPhone or iPad with a data connection to allow tethering.
The HTML5 Tether service is available now for $30 per year and can be ordered here.
