Earlier this month iLounge reported that the new iPhone could sport a 4″ screen as well as a new dock connector. iMore is now reporting that the next generation iPhone design has yet to be finalized by Apple, but a 4″ screen is still a posibility.
Here are the highlights from the report by Rene Ritchie (iMore):
- Apple has not finalized their design choice for the new iPhone
- The screen will likely be capped at 4 inches (if it gets bigger at all)
- Smaller dock connector is currently in development for the new device
- Home button stays
- No metal back
- Launch is still in October and LTE is still in the cards
So we’re still looking at an October release date, with LTE be most likely being a main selling point. iMore is also confirming claims made by iLounge that Apple is indeed working on a smaller size dock connector.
