iPhone 5 Release Date, News & Rumors: Design Not Final, 4 Inch Screen Possible

Earlier this month iLounge reported that the new iPhone could sport a 4″ screen as well as a new dock connector. iMore is now reporting that the next generation iPhone design has yet to be finalized by Apple, but a 4″ screen is still a posibility.

Here are the highlights from the report by Rene Ritchie (iMore):

Apple has not finalized their design choice for the new iPhone
The screen will likely be capped at 4 inches (if it gets bigger at all)
Smaller dock connector is currently in development for the new device

Home button stays
No metal back
Launch is still in October and LTE is still in the cards

So we’re still looking at an October release date, with LTE be most likely being a main selling point. iMore is also confirming claims made by iLounge that Apple is indeed working on a smaller size dock connector.
