Alright so hear me out here. I’m on the App Store, and I notice this game called “Darkside” , and it’s available for free. The screenshots make it look a bit like Super Stardust HD, so I download it. And then boom! Not only is the game gorgeous, but it’s a lot of fun. You guys gotta try it out.

Darkside is a dual-stick shooter that takes place on 3D planets. Not only will you be blasting the asteroids floating around the planet (in fact this is your main goal, getting rid of all asteroid matter), you’ll also be shooting at enemies as they come.

Along the way you’ll grab the powerups that the asteroids drop off. When I said it reminded me of Super Stardust HD, I wasn’t kidding. Especially on the retina display on the new iPad, the game was just an explosion of visuals in your face.

So here’s why I’m making a big deal out of it: the game is free. You can download it right now, and you get all the of the Arcade mode for free, with Game Center achievements and leaderboards. However for $0.99 IAP, you can unlock the full game, which includes a 100 level Mission mode and an endless Survival mode. So definitely go check out this gem out.
