Let’s take a pause from your iPhone 5 release date news and rumors, and switch to iPad Mini rumors for a bit. Bloomberg, DigiTimes and the New York Times are all confirming that a new smaller iPad from Apple is upon us this fall. September to be exact.
Via Macrumors: “The new model will have a screen that’s 7 inches to 8 inches diagonally, less than the current 9.7-inch version, said the people, who asked not to be identified because Apple hasn’t made its plans public. The product, which Apple may announce by October, won’t have the high-definition screen featured on the iPad that was released in March, one of the people said.”
Even though Steve Jobs said a 7″ iPad is too small, Apple apparently has always planned to release a “low end” version of their tablet. The resolution will be at 1024×768 pixels. This said iPad will be priced at around $250 to compete with Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Nexus 7.
With this much sources citing it is NOW coming, it’s hard not to believe that this gadget will finally see the light. Thoughts?
