WWDC 2012 was a few weeks ago, but because this game is very awesome, I’m sure you guys all still remember this game. During the keynote, CSR Racing was shown and all iOS players can now download it for FREE!

VERY fun game. Graphics are great. And the game play, while basic is very good.

Only problem. . .and it’s a big on in my opinion, is that the game appears to be designed to hook kids into spending real money on in game gold coins in oder to buy gas, purchase new cars, and upgrade them.

$10 dollars of really money will not last very long in the game (and I mean on the order of minutes). The developer will tell you that it’s “possible” to play the game without speding additinoal real money. . .and they are right. . .but you have to wait considerable amounts of time for your gas tank to replensh, and you will have to spend an unreasonable amount of time in repititous races in order to build up enough in game cash/gold coins to advance, or get new cars/ugprades.

If you have the ability to play the game under the developers crazy rules. . .and the time to wait, and play elements over and over again. . .you can not spend any money at all.

However, if you have no ability to do this. . .most kids don’t, you could eaisly spend $60 of real money in a few hours of game play. That’s more than most console games. . .and this game is NOT as full featured / feature rich as console games. . .even though the graphics are comparible.

This game is worth $10-$25 dollars for what you get. . .once you spend more than that on this game. . .you are overpaying. In my opinion.
