One of the coolest features I think with iOS 6, is Passbook. It’s a new default iOS app where you can collect your membership cards, plane tickets, movie tickets etc. Also, I think this is some sort of test for Apple which will lead to NFC (mobile payments system).
Via 9to5Mac: “Redmond Pie showed us how to get it going. It all relies on a new website now in alpha, called “PassSource”, which allows you to create iOS Passbook passes for free. On the mobile webpage, you can make boarding passes, coupons, events, store cards, and more. It is really intuitive.”
Steps:
- First, open the PassSource.com website on your iOS 6-enabled device, and then select which type of pass you would like to create.
- Fill in the pass with the correct information, like the card number and member name.
- Press create.
- It will then open inside of the Passbook app, which will make the app completely usable!
NOTE: this might be the deal killer. Your creations will NOT be transferred to Passbook.app IF you have any documents reader apps installed for some reason (GoodReeder etc).
