After waiting for what seemed forever for Apple to approve the Jet Car Stunts
update, it’s finally live on the AppStore! In case you missed our post, this update is a big one. It adds universal support, which means we finally got that iPad version after all.
It also packs 60fps for almost all devices, and it looks incredible on the retina display, whether it be on the new iPad, or the iPhone.
- native iPad Support.
- 60fps on iPhone4s, iPad2 and iPad3.
- High resolution fonts and HUD.
- FSAA for smooth edges on iPhone4s, iPad2 and iPad3.Leaderboards and Achievements have been disabled on the iPod Touch 1st Generation and original iPhone 2G. These features are enabled on iPhone 3G, iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPod 2nd, iPod 3rd, iPod 4th, and all iPad versions.
Leaderboards and achievements are now disabled on the 1st generation iPod touch, and original iPhone due to OpenFeint’s transition to GREE. As you can see from the screenshots, even after 3 years, Jet Car Stunts looks like any game that could be released right now. And most importantly, it’s still one of the most fun games I’ve played on an iOS device. You have to try it out yourself to see just how smooth it runs, and how much fun this game is.
If you didn’t buy it when the game originally came out, you’re in luck. The lite version was also updated with retina graphics, universal support, and 60fps. So you can go ahead and download that first if you’re not sure. And once you’ve made up your mind, the full game is only $1.99. Honestly, there’s no excuse. Download this right now.
