While the Apple vs. Samsung lawsuit is going on, various photos of early iPhone prototypes are popping up in court documents. In this case, one particular prototype stands out. Look familiar? Yep, it’s pretty similar to the leaked “iPhone 5” pictures we’ve been seeing for months now.
On the right, is a early iPhone prototype designed posted by The Verge. On the left, is a rendering of the next generation iPhone based on reports and leaked parts for the upcoming device. It also coincides with early reports describing the device:
According to our source, Apple will make one major change to the rear casing, adding a metal panel to the central back of the new iPhone. This panel will be flat, not curved, and metal, not ceramic.
Although there have been many prototypes to make their way out of the court hearing (including an iPad with a kickstand), this particular one seems to have evolved, instead of just being dropped all together, into what could be the next generation iPhone.
