BGR is reporting that AT&T is targeting an iPhone launch in the third or fourth week of September, with an “all-hands-on-deck policy” through mid-October to help handle customers. Reportedly, AT&T has gone as far as to reschedule a training event planned for the first week of October so that it’s employees can be available for the iPhone launch.
“According to a trusted AT&T (T) source, the carrier is currently planning to launch Apple’s (AAPL) next-generation iPhone during the third or fourth week of September, with an all-hands-on-deck policy in place for employees that will extend through to the middle of October.”
BGR has reported on carrier vacation blackouts in the past, and has been correct some of the time. Although they were wrong in reporting the early-to-mid September iPhone 4S launch, which they later corrected to be October.
However, BGR is not the first site to claim that the next generation iPhone will launch in September. iMore, among numerous other sources, are all pointing to a September 12 event, with a September 21st launch.
