While some are debating about whether Apple will debut their 7.85″ iPad mini during their September event, or hold a separate event in October, Digitimes is reporting that the iPad mini will begin volume production in September.
The production would be targeting 4 million units per month, with the goal being to launch the new device before the holiday season.
Supply volume of Apple’s 7.85-inch iPad is estimated to reach four million units per month starting in September in order to prepare for demand from year-end holidays, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
The September 12th event, most likely for the next generation iPhone, has been all but confirmed. iMore reported this back in May, and lumped the iPad Mini and iPhone together in the same day. If the date holds, we can expect Apple to be rolling out invites very soon.
