Production for the iPad mini has begun, or at least that is what Japanese blog Macotakara is reporting. The blog has received information from a source indicating that Foxconn has begun production at it’s Brazil facilities.
The report is a follow-up on the site’s July report claiming production would begin in Brazil in September.
According to my source, iPad mini was started production in Brazilian factory. I don’t have information if it has been produced in Chinese factory, yet.
Their sources also claim that the iPad mini units in production lack a small hole on the top center of the device, which was speculated to be the microphone. The microphone was included in all the cases and physical mockups that have leaked over the past couple of months.
