True Skate is the latest game coming from True Axis (developers of Jet Car Stunts), and it’s looking pretty impressive. We can’t help but think of Touchgrind when we see it, as they both include using your fingers to skate on a virtual board.

However, True Skate looks to have a more authentic feel than Touchgrind, as you can see from the video, you perform ollies just how you would perform it in real life.

Performing tricks is a matter of flicks and swipes while in the air. Pushing down while over rails or ledges lets you perform slides and grinds, and so forth. Seriously, just give the video above a watch. TouchArcade has had their hands on with the game and describe it as “one of the most unique experiences on iOS”. True Skate is close to being submitted, we’ll let you know once it’s out in the wild.
