As part of his Rock Center interview, Apple CEO Tim Cook was asked for a clue of what Apple may be looking to do next. The answer was posted as part of the teaser for the interview.

In it, Cook hints that Apple is indeed focus on seriously redefining television.

What’s next for Apple? Did Cook leave us with a clue?

“When I go into my living room and turn on the TV, I feel like I have gone backwards in time by 20 to 30 years,” Cook told Williams. “It’s an area of intense interest. I can’t say more than that.”

The hint comes as Apple has reportedly been struggling to reach the content deals it is seeking for their television experience. Talks are still ongoing, but all signs seem to point towards an imminent Apple television product, whether it be a set-top box or an Internet-connected television set.
