While Square Enix has finally announced that Final Fantasy I & II are coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch, we have another RPG to play with!
SONG SUMMONER: The Unsung Heroes - Encore ($9.99)

Song Summoner is a game that some people may remember as an iPod Click Wheel game. This version however includes the story from the original as well as an unreleased Song Summoner sequel in one big game.

Alley Gator is more of a casual game, which is something Glu Mobile have steered away from in their past few releases.
Alley Gator ($0.99; FREE)

This is a game that is extremely simple to pick up and play for only 2 or 3 minutes if you really want to. This is a game that I have played very basic versions of before on the pc, usually as a dodgy flash game. I haven’t seen any of these titles on the App Store before Alley Gator, but after playing this game it seems like a perfect match to the accelerometer.

**You’ve seen this game on the TOP 10 PAID APPS LIST, now find out WHY!**
The obvious success of the line drawing genre continues to force devs to think outside of the box and Thunder Game Works most definitely did with this game!
Trenches ($1.99)

Holy smokes! Do you LOVE the artwork or do you LOVE it? Don’t be fooled however as the gameplay is as twisted-ly fun as its theme. Trenches is more like tower/castle offense combined with line drawing… something we’ve never seen before. Prepare your troop as we discover yet another amazing iPhone game!

Glu Mobile has released a sequel to the previously No.1 game Glyder. This game has improved on what we got in the first game, but add more excitement and extras!
Glyder 2 ($0.99)

I had never previously picked up Glyder mainly due to the fact that I didn’t think it would appeal to me. At the time I had various flying games and didn’t think another item collecting game would be fun for me. The minute I picked this up, I fell in love with it.

According to the movie Forrest Gump, ‘Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what your gonna get.’ Luckily for those with The Game of Life you can choose your path in life, from a big career to having a family. Its all in your hands.
The Game of Life ($4.99)

I have never heard of a board game called The Game of Life, but after playing this game I am really tempted to go and find one. Basically the Game of Life is an adventure board game where you have to travel from a starting point to the end point in the game.

Once again Electronic Arts have brought out another board game which has been a favourite for many generations.
Connect 4 ($2.99)

For those unlucky people in the Northern Hemisphere you will be experiencing snow storms, rain and all round dodgy weather. In years gone by you may have played in the snow or crowded around the fire playing some of your favourite board games. Electronic Arts are not only reducing the size of all those boxes in your cupboard, but also putting a cheaper price as you can play all your favorites on your iDevice.

Hills and Rivers Remain brings once again another game by Square Enix that heavily relies on good strategy.
Hills and Rivers Remain ($6.99)

Hills and Rivers Remain plays much like a game you have probably seen before. If any of you have played Castle Warriors or Galcon you would know how to play this sort of game. Now the question is asked, how can this game stand out from the pack and justify it’s high price, especially when rival games are priced a lot lower.

Need for Speed Undercover is the uncontested arcade racing king while Real Racing holds onto the simulation racing spot. Where does this belong?
Need for Speed Shift ($6.99 - Holiday Price)
Need for Speed Shift was meant to be a simulation racer but instead the iPhone version is dead smack in the middle of the two genres.

The racing style in NFS Shift is designed to be more of a simulation experience, with no incoming cars or being able to make other cars to flying. The racing modes and track designs just give this an arcade feel and the mix of the two makes for a deadly combination.

The popular series Ace Combat has finally soared onto the App Store for the first time blowing up anything that gets in it’s way.
ACE COMBAT Xi Skies of Incursion ($7.99)

The first Ace Combat game was released in 1995 and the various versions have been put on different Playstation consoles, the Xbox 360, Game Boy and PSP. The franchise’s next outing is the iPhone (not surprisingly), and boy does this game deliver!

Illusion Labs ain’t Illusion Labs if they’re not to bring us totally unique and expertly designed games, this game is no exception.

Labyrinth 2 ($4.99)
The original Labyrinth became one of the initial staples of the (then) just beginning AppStore. What with the finesse in design, absolutely perfect physics supported with sounds, it’s not one to be missed.
Turn the book a year later and Illusion Labs has completely redesigned the “genre” again. Cue the copycats to follow.
