It seems like it was just yesterday when I was playing Final Fantasy on the NES, then again on the gba, and now I can experience all the adventures on my iPhone. But did Final Fantasy succeed in making a mark on iPhone RPG gaming?

Fresh of the heels of the Canadian release (so far) of ngmoco’s We Rule, let’s look at another FarmVille-iPhone contender…
Fruit Farm Tycoon ($2.99)

The AppStore has a HUGE variety of game genres and there’s tons to choose from. We’ve all seen tycoon based games and other sims, but one game I haven’t seen is a Harvest Moon-esque style one, until now. The Harvest Moon style graphics and gameplay come as close as one can to the real thing.

So James told me to download this game because it was the bombsauce and very addicting. To my surprise it wasn’t bad.
Bird Strike ($1.99)

Bird strike, which is developed by PikPok, takes a similar route to DoodleJump and Papi Jump except there really isn’t a “jump” action in the game. The graphics are executed nicely and the sound is amusing. But can it compete with the rest of these “height challenge games”?

Upon playing Cocoto Kart Racer, two titles came to mind, Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart and Mario Kart. The same racing type is there, including the maps, characters, and weapons at your disposal.

It’s been a while since I played a game that was not only fun but very competitive. 2XL Fleet Defense is one such game.

2XL Games brings you this aerial combat game, which puts you against everyone else. It’s good to see that there are still devs who are able to produce games with potential. 2XL brings on the casual goods with a gameplay you haven’t seen before.
