Bolt Creative has been quiet on the updates zone as of late with the exception of Pocket God Comics. However, they’re latest update “What’s The Story Morning Glory” feels like 3-4 sorta weekly updates into one so it’s all good.
New things: new minigame called Pain Drain, a story mode which lets you customize your own Pocket God stories and lastly, Alien theme purchasable within the app for $0.99. Let’s discuss.
After a long time teasing and waiting, Eliminate Co-Op is finally released and is FREE. Co-Op mode (dubbed as ‘Extermination Mode’ by ngmoco) lets you team up with a friend (or a random stranger) to go up against the drones.
The story goes Arsenal Megacorp has been taken over by these automatic Battle Drones. These drones are smart and hunt in packs, and are heavily armed. The drones approach in waves, each co-op match having 7 waves. You and your friend have 3 minutes to kill them all, and believe me, it’s much harder than it sounds.
We were fortunate enough to attend a super secret Street Fighter 4 iPhone party earlier this week and upon seeing the game, we thought it was FANTASTIC! However, you guys are equally fortunate as the game has been released for $9.99:
Check out the hands on video our handy Media Editor Phil recorded just for you! In it, you can see completely fluid graphics and animations, and best of all: dpad controls that work perfect for this iPhone version of the game!
The much previewed arcade shooter from Chillingo and Traplight Games: The Hero ($1.99)finally arrives on the AppStore. It promises “lightning-fast arcade romp that sizzles with comic book style, sassy characters and superhuman gameplay.”
First impressions are actually good as this game offers sophisticated controls, graphics and tons of gameplay dynamics.
It seems like someone drank too much beer over the weekend at Apple and decided to approve a lot of new titles. Two of those new titles have been previewed on this site so here are some quick looks:
The sequel to the hit puzzle game from last year Ragdoll Blasterfinally arrives. From the little time we’ve got with the title, I can say this is like a reimagination of puzzles much like Labyrinth 2 did with ball tilting.
The first of hopefully many Rayman games to make it to the iPhone is finally here. Gameloft’s done a great job with platformers (see Avatar), and this is looking like another gold for them.
The game is obviously its whole separate entity from the sidescrolling game. AC2 Multiplayer features a top down view mechanic as well as online connectivity (obviously) through WiFi only at this time.
Our faithful readers know this already that the social game I’ve been wanting for the iPhone is Zynga’s Facebook game: FarmVille. Last night, TAG Games’ attempt and frequently previewed title Astro Ranchfinally arrives in store for $2.99:
Blasting off from earth, Sindy and Max the intrepid Starlight twins set off for an adventure beyond the stars. Watch out! Disaster is close at hand! Grow crops, raise livestock and then kick back, go fishing or make friends with the locals. All this and much, much more…
We told you yesterday that ngmoco’s We Rule was going to release that day, and we’re right on the money. For Canadians (and fake Canadians like me), you can now download this FarmVille-like game by clicking this: We Rule (Canada ONLY):
Farm. Build. Rule. Direct your citizens to farm the land and harvest crops for sale. Extract natural land resources and develop your estate’s infrastructure. Expand housing, and collect taxes from your citizens.
Did you see what I just did there? After some days of anticipation, SQUARE ENIX’s classic RPG that set the bar for this successful franchise (and possibly all RPG’s): Final Fantasy 1and Final Fantasy 2have arrived for the iPhone:
Players guide the Warriors of Light as they set out on a quest to restore the crystals to their former luster. Its side view battles, choice and promotion of character classes, and sprawling world explored with fantastic vehicles quickly became standards of the series.
A couple of Nitako news for you today. First off, their first iPhone game which involves swinging action: Rasta Monkeyis FREE until tomorrow. This of course is in celebration of the just released E-Punk:
Rasta Monkey is full of colors, fun gameplay and a dedicated developer. The first version of the game wasn’t as solid as it can be. However after a couple of updates later, this game is now a must have and at the price of free, is a MUST download! Let’s discuss some E-Punknext…
