Glu Mobile keeps a good catalogue of mobile games outside of the iPhone world so don’t be surprised if they port games from that collection to the iPhone, such as this one. Take a look at the upcoming puzzle game: Stranded: Mysteries of Time iPhone:
Where as the first version of this series on the mobile is very survival driven, Stranded for the iPhone promises to be much more story driven. You start the game being chased with a T-Rex then it’s YOUR task to avoid getting killed.
Glyderand Glyder 2are two of my favorite iPhone games ever so to have the opportunity to replay them again with “new skin” will be amazing. How To Train Your Dragon (an official movie tie in) does the job:
One of the first few things you’ll notice about the game is the removal of the pressure thing that made both Glyder’s challenging for casual gamers. How To Train Your Dragon attempts to correct that.
I’m sorry to disappoint the expectant ones, but this has nothing to do with the late Michael Jackson (outside the name of course). Instead, it is a really interesting take on the whole rhythm game genre.
Instead of trying to tap notes when the reach a certain place on the screen, you’re actually trying to repeat a rhythm created by two or more instruments. Personally I really haven’t gotten the hang of it yet, but I still find it much more fascinating than the whole Tap Tap Revenge style of game play. Plus, this particular game has a certain style about it that really has me hooked.
This is a game that is extremely simple to pick up and play for only 2 or 3 minutes if you really want to. This is a game that I have played very basic versions of before on the pc, usually as a dodgy flash game. I haven’t seen any of these titles on the App Store before Alley Gator, but after playing this game it seems like a perfect match to the accelerometer.
I seriously love me some Autobots/Decepticons rivalry so naturally I’m a big fan of the Transformer movies (and Shia LaBeouf).
You can imagine my glee when I found out Glu Mobile is porting their turn based strategy mobile game TRANSFORMERS G1 Awakening to the iPhone:
From IGN, the mobile game is “Based on the original story of Transformers, use the strengths of each Autobot to defeat the Decepticons in turn-based strategic battles. Capture sources of Energon power to reactivate, repair or upgrade your Transformers”
This past week, we saw the first 2010 offerings from iPhone developers we were familiar with last 2009. Both developers contributed game/s on our Top 50 iPhone Games of 2009 and now they’re back.
VANQUISH: The Oath of Brothers (Preview), is gracefully presented through the use of innovative ink and wash painting graphics. It is a fast paced action RPG following a dramatic storyline.
A unique Global GPS adventure based on collecting 1000 weird and wonderful items! GPS mode uses real maps and locations so the only limit is your own sense of adventure! Will you be the first to collect all 1000?
Glu Mobile has released a sequel to the previously No.1 game Glyder. This game has improved on what we got in the first game, but add more excitement and extras!
I had never previously picked up Glyder mainly due to the fact that I didn’t think it would appeal to me. At the time I had various flying games and didn’t think another item collecting game would be fun for me. The minute I picked this up, I fell in love with it.
Talk about the mother of all insane pricesales! Since last Friday and lasts til Monday, Glu Mobile has slashed the prices to ALL their games to just $0.99 each. Their games vary from the super amazing adventure game Glyder 1/2 to the unique and fun rhythm puzzle game Beat It!
I’ve always been a fan of Apple’s on Poker game. Over a year later and I have finally found a poker game that I feel it worthy to share the limelight with Apple’s Texas Hold ‘Em. It just so happens that this game is also a fully licensed WSOP game.
It’s a reinvented version of Frogger with a crazy taxi look. Taxi Fight tests your skills in hand-eye coordination along with how fast you can react under pressure. The game’s basic graphics go hand in hand with the objective and bring you an over enjoyable experience.
