Well it seemed like forever that only Ng:Moco’s Star Defense had the sole advantage of using the OS 3.0 feature: Push Notifications.
Today, it seems like Apple has finally let go of the “others” with two chat apps finally seeing their updates released:

So do you guys remember when we broke the news of iTunes 8.0.2’s modified and expanded parental controls? well now that OS 3.0 has been released, the final piece is in place.
When we were updating soe 57 of our apps (yes! Apple held them for far too long!), one of the apps were rated 17+ this pop up came up:
As simple as this maybe, setting your parental controls both on iTunes and the devices go a long way.
You know some developers will try and abuse this new iTunes function. Better make use of the tools present rather than deal with the consequences right?
Howdy! So I totally phailed by predicting the OS release to be 12 Midnight Pacific last night. Now we’re hearing the release will be at 10AM Pacific exactly one hour to the dot.
Get those fast fingers ready! 3.0 is upon us!!!
It feels as if it’s black friday in nerd, geek, and tech kingdoms as the world awaits Apple to let go of the new OS 3.0. New features have been promised from push notifications to iPod library accessibility. With the release of the new OS, new/updated games are upon us as well.
Here’s a recap of what we might expect as soon as this week or the next with regards to 3.0 stuff.
It looks like Apple is getting somewhat affected by AT&T’s unpreparedness for the launch of iPhone/Touch OS 3.0 (tomorrow) and by the 3GS consequently on Friday.
As Twitter went down exactly 2PM Pacific Time, reports came in that OS 3.0 for iPod Touches appeared on iTunes for $9.95. We checked and sure enough, it’s there:
At this point, no one knows what Apple is doing. Developers are waiting for app update approvals lasting about close to a month of waiting, and people are having finnicky iTunes store problems (I personally can’t access my Account info).
Of course, it still remains to be seen whether OS 3.0 solves some (if not all) these issues. One can sure hope right. So when is the OS 3.0 release? More importantly did you miss out? ANSWER: NO!
The keynote has come and gone. Along with some pricedrops for the MacBook/Pro lineup, we finally learned what we’re getting with iPhone OS 3.0 (due June 17, free for iPhone users, $9.95 for Touch-ers).
Well, most of Jared’s rumor roundups didn’t come true. I don’t blame him though as he merely compiled news and rumors from over the web and have his opinions about it.
Although we didn’t get a super cool glowing Apple logo, we got a plethora of new features including MMS, VIDEO CAPTURE ZOMG!, push notifications, landscape keyboards, spotlight and much much more!
