Eliminate Co-Op Is Here And FREE: Prepare To Be Addicted!

After a long time teasing and waiting, Eliminate Co-Op is finally released and is FREE. Co-Op mode (dubbed as ‘Extermination Mode’ by ngmoco) lets you team up with a friend (or a random stranger) to go up against the drones.

The story goes Arsenal Megacorp has been taken over by these automatic Battle Drones. These drones are smart and hunt in packs, and are heavily armed. The drones approach in waves, each co-op match having 7 waves. You and your friend have 3 minutes to kill them all, and believe me, it’s much harder than it sounds.

GodFinger (FREE): Pocket God, FarmVille Hybrid OUT In Canada

This site has been previewing this game for quite some time now. We just sat down with ngmoco regarding the game yesterday. However, GodFinger has just been released to Canada today for FREE:

Everyone gets the Finger. Customize, cultivate and wreak havoc on your world with a tap of your finger. Perform an impressive array of Wonders to convert your planet’s inhabitants into devoted followers.

When I first looked at God Finger, by ngmoco, I had no idea what I was doing of playing. Then I played it for a little bit longer and began to like it.

Eliminate Pro 2.0 News: New Maps and Update, Co-Op Play Soon!

Remember our favorite FREE shooter from ngmoco? Eliminate Pro? Well they haven’t left it to die. Just today the 2.0 update was released, and apart from adding some new stuff, paves the way for the upcoming co-op mode.

New gear. In case you haven’t played Eliminate in a while (like me), now you have prototype gear. There are prototype weapons and armors. So for example if a Tanker armor costs 600c, the prototype might cost 100c or so.

We Rule, ngmoco’s FarmVille iPhone Releases In Canada Tonight!

Out of two ngmoco’s upcoming games, I thought GodFinger was releasing first since it’s the one they keep previewing the most. As it turns out, just as they did with Eliminate Pro, ngmoco will be testing their servers AND releasing We Rule for our Canadian friends sometime today/tonight:

we-rule-pr-1

We Rule of course is what we’ve been calling ngmoco’s and New Toy’s FarmVille for the iPhone on steroids. It’s going to be heavily reliant on the Plus+ network and we already know it’s going to be FREE(mium). The announcement came from Neil Young himself:

We Rule, GodFinger Official Sites Launched: Release REALLY Soon?

Yesterday was a HUGE day for ngmoco having acquired Freeverse, but let’s not forgot their two hotly anticipated iPhone games which just got their official sites. If previous ngmoco releases are to be used, we can safely say the release for these games are REALLY near!

We Rule - FarmVille Like Game! (SITE)

we-rule-pr-1

Just like FarmVille, you start out with a small piece of town which you’ll then utilize or cultivate into a booming town. You’ll plant crops which will return coins which you can then use to build new buildings which will make money all over again.

GodFinger - Pocket God 2010? (SITE)

iPhone gamers aren’t new to being given some god like powers and messing with their villagers. This game does just that but gives you god powers on overdrive!

ngmoco Gets $25 Million, Buys Freeverse, Charadium, Will Open Plus+

Co-Written By: Dan Morgan

Suprise surprise SURPRISE! Today, ngmoco announced the acquisition of Freeverse. Just when you thought ngmoco is remaining pretty quiet for the first half of 2010… BOOM! This news is on top of the $25 Million funding ngmoco received today which was used to also buy a game we loved… Charadium.

Lotsa $$$

Freemium Freeverse On The Way?

ngmoco is behind popular games such as Rolando, Eliminate, Topple, and has shifted to the ‘freemium‘ payment model which seems to be going well for them. Freeverse on the other hand has a bunch of popular games, most of which were on the top 25 for a long time or currently still are.

With ngmoco taking over, it seems they’ll be shifting to the ‘freemium’ method too, though apparently not like Eliminate (where you have to pay more than once for powercells). We suspect they’ll offer more of a “trial” system where DLC is one time pay instead of constant payment aka powercells.
