Plants Vs Zombies iPhone Makes $1M In 9 Days, Bejeweled First to $3M

Someone is bathing on some cold hard cash this past week alright… If you thought us calling Plants Vs Zombies iPhoneDangerously Addicting” makes us insane, why don’t you ask the game’s record breaking $1 Million AppStore sales in its first NINE days just announced:

Plants vs. Zombies™ sold more than 300,000 units in its first nine days of availability, setting a new record for App Store launches. Plants vs. Zombies shot to number one in the units sold and “top grossing” App Store charts within 24 hours of its launch and remained there until yesterday. At a retail price point of US$2.99, Plants vs. Zombies for iPhone/touch has already grossed more than US$1 million.

As if that’s enough to make those PopCap guys jump up and down in joy, they’ve also revealed that Bejeweled 2 iPhone has raked in over $3 Million in sales. They also claim this is the FIRST iPhone game to do that, and we believe them.

Plants Vs Zombies iPhone Releasing February 15!

At long last, one of the most awaited games this Winter finally gets dated. PopCap through the video below has revealed that the PC/Mac hit “line defense” game, Plants Vs Zombies, will finally be released on the iPhone on February 15:

Plants Vs Zombies if you must know is what I call “line defense” as it breaks from freeform and “tracked” tower defense game. You still get towers for your use but you get to place them only on a straight line. Watch the video above, I think I just confused you.

Peggle ($4.99)

We were one of those 7 people that didn’t know or care about Peggle at all. We have never played nor seen it. Once it’s released, we’re like ok we’ll review it. To our amazement and surprise, Peggle is astonishingly one of the best games out there regardless of the platform. More so what makes the iPhone version special are the touch controls. Peggle is easily an overnight iPhone classic.
